If asked to describe her work flow, she would probably say:
Once I arrive at this starting point, I begin exploring typography, color, shapes. Sometimes I like what I do, sometimes I pivot completely.
I find myself working in a waterfall. Idea - explore - new idea - explore.I like starting in figma or sketching out ideas because it is efficient and allows me to have fast iterations. I allow myself at least 3-4 days in this space. I tend to be very critical in this stage so coming back to my work after a day or so helps me get fresh eyes. Having reached my tool’s limitations, I move on to Illustrator, and recreate things I’ve most gravitated towards. I then usually fall into more waterfalls of iterations. But here, I’m trying to take decisions like color palette and typography to then build from.
When I feel appropriately stuck, I enlist the help of design friends, my family, or whoever is around me to get some initial impressions and thoughts. It can be scary to show creative work to others, but it’s never failed me. From there, the rest of the work is determined by time, scale, applications etc.
