Digital Sugar to tell the story of a tech startup.
Client: Sugarbox
Time: 2 months

I was placed on the Sugarbox team and helped layout, mockup and expand this newly formed brand identity.I worked alongside talented designers Sushmeit Nambiar and Anusha Baid to support the identity work they developed for SugarBox. Sugarbox is the World's 1st Hyperlocal cloud platform, enabling the future of connected devices. A link to the limitless for seamless & affordable digital experiences.

The brand explored these ideas of limitlessness through creating “Digital Sugar” - crystals to signify enabling users digital access in hard to reach places like the local train or rural areas.

I helped create layouts to place the brand in the physical world. I also pushed to conceptualize social media content. This included finding the right stock images to work with that met the visual language we were developing. Coming up with copy that fit each post, and having a variety to show the scope of the application.

I enjoyed experimenting with illustration and motion graphics, figuring out how to make Digital Sugar come alive.

MOTION + ILLUSTRATION

SOCIAL CAROUSEL

A big part of the visual assets was combining 2D scenes with our 3D assets (aka the Digital Sugar)This involved finding the right image, editing it to fit the right perspective, many Photoshop layers, blending modes, and rounds of tweaking to make it pixel perfect.

DIGITAL BANNERS

EMAIL SIGNATURE

PRESENTATION SLIDE TEMPLATES

Landor is a global design firm, probably one of the most known firms ever. It was an amazing opportunity to be able to work for them and learn the nitty gritty details of how to create, package, and deliver a brand identity to a client.

Even as an intern, this was a position that demanded a lot. The client were big and standard were extremely high. Everyone is expected to be working at their highest capacity.

This is a project I did in 2022, but it is my first time including this work in my portfolio. I felt as though since I didn’t work on the brand itself, it wasn’t work I could own (and I was waiting for the brand to launch as well). But now that I am looking back on this, I am so proud of each email signature, mockups, and template that I remember putting my heart and soul in.  It takes a whole LOT to make something simple look (close to) perfect.

Certainly a tough but rewarding journey. Thank you to my team - Sushmeit, Anusha, and Nirvaan, that made me the detailed-oriented designer I am today.
